The officers seized 20 guns and 490 rounds of ammunition from these suspects, successfully eliminating an imminent risk. In addition to these accomplishments, the operation’s scope was widened to encompass a broader range of criminal activities. A total of 207 individuals were taken into custody for assault GBH, while 122 were arrested for common assault. Moreover, eight individuals were charged with murder, five with attempted murder, and 48 with robberies. Shockingly, 15 individuals were charged with rape. The operation also penetrated the realm of immigration, with the apprehension of 337 undocumented immigrants.

The operation did not leave out drug-related crimes. Fifty-eight individuals were charged, and a variety of substances were seized, including crack cocaine, crystal meth, heroin, cat, and dagga. The confiscation of an astounding 6,077 counterfeit cigarette sticks and 1,229,682.5ml of illicit liquor further highlighted the extent of the illegal drug trade in the region.
Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, commended the operation’s results. She praised the stakeholders involved in the operations, urging them to sustain their efforts beyond the festive season.
