Determined to bring the student home, a task force comprising members from Gauteng Crime Intelligence, Organised Crime Investigations, Hillbrow Detectives, Johannesburg Trio Detectives, Johannesburg Metro Police K9, and security companies – Vision Tactical, JT VIP, CAP Security, Fidelity Strategic Team, and Cellular Data Investigation – combined their resources and expertise to track down and capture the criminals. Their united efforts led them to an ATM on the M2 Road, where they expected one of the culprits to withdraw the ransom funds.

A Strategic Takedown and a Surprising Discovery

With sharp surveillance and patience, the officers awaited the arrival of the suspect. Upon his appearance, they quickly apprehended him. In an unexpected twist, the detained individual then led the team to the Denver Men’s Hostel, where they found the abducted student, restrained and unconscious.
