Following the meeting, Minister Nzimande will host a gala dinner, during which he will present the Young Innovators Prize, a prestigious award recognizing the innovative efforts of young scientists from the BRICS countries. The Young Innovators Prize rewards groundbreaking ideas designed to benefit society.
The BRICS STI Ministerial Meeting, on August 4th, will allow participating ministers to engage in discussions and share insights on how their respective countries can foster scientific, technological, and innovative advancements. The ultimate goal is to create a sustainable future for their citizens and the world. Following the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Nzimande will address the media and provide updates on the outcomes of the discussions.
The media are invited to attend a Ministerial Dinner on August 3rd, from 19h00 to 21h30, at The Coachman Restaurant in Gqeberha. Additionally, a photo opportunity for the BRICS STI Ministerial Meeting will be held on August 4th at the Boardwalk Hotel and Conference Centre.
