On September 7, 2023, the vibrant community of Nyanga in Cape Town, South Africa, hosted the City’s Human Settlements Roadshow. The event brought together local residents, Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements Councillor Carl Pophaim and Human Settlements Directorate senior officials to tackle various human settlements-related concerns.

Councillor Carl Pophaim emphasized the success of the initiative, stating, “The Human Settlements Roadshow has been well attended in the communities that we have reached thus far, and we are looking forward to assisting more residents as we make our way across the metro in the coming months.” The roadshow’s subsequent stops include Gugulethu, Crossroads, and Mamre, where officials will continue to provide assistance.

At each event, a team of experts assists residents in addressing various human settlements-related issues, such as new and historical title deeds, C3 notifications, specific projects, Housing Needs Register applications, tenancy management, affordable housing enquiries, and informal settlement queries.
