Cape Town Carnival Returns with an Afr’energy-Filled Parade

Cape Town Carnival’s street parade made a triumphant return to Green Point’s Fan Walk, with over 25,000 spectators gathering to witness the colorful, vibrant event. This year’s parade, inspired by the theme “Afr’energy,” celebrated individual creativity, cultural diversity, and community empowerment.

The parade saw 1,600 performers taking to the streets of Cape Town, showcasing their talents and bringing arts, culture, and diversity to the forefront. Cape Town Carnival is a non-profit organization that empowers the youth of Cape Town, giving a voice and visibility to the city’s communities.

The organizers posted a message on social media that said, “In spite of setbacks, we aim to make something truly extraordinary. Before the event, we put money into training people for new jobs and promoting tourism in Cape Town so that local companies could benefit from the increased foot traffic.”
