James Vos, the Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, revealed that Cape Town played host to an impressive 317,000 foreign visitors in December alone, and a cumulative 2.9 million visitors throughout 2023. A study by Remitly found that Cape Town boasts the highest number of social media community groups on Meetup, a widely-used social platform.
