South African team, the SPAR Proteas, is considered one of the strong contenders for the championship. They have the added advantage of home ground support, and they are set to face Jamaica, Wales, and Sri Lanka in the preliminary stages. Their matches are scheduled for July 28, 29, and 30.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes. Walter Sisulu Avenue, in front of the CTICC, will be closed to traffic from July 25 until August 7.
