City Customer Offices to Temporarily Close for Maintenance Work

The City of _______ will temporarily close its customer offices on June 3 and 4, 2023, to carry out mandatory maintenance work. This closure will affect municipal offices, motor vehicle registration and licensing locations, Human Settlements offices, Driving Licence Testing Centres (DLTCs), and municipal courts. Customers who typically visit the customer offices in Lansdowne Corner Mall, Liberty Promenade Mall, and Table Bay Mall will also be impacted by the closures.

Online and E-Service Portals to be Offline

The City’s online and e-Service portals will also be offline during the maintenance work. To avoid any inconvenience, customers are urged to seek alternative payment methods.

Payment Methods for Municipal Account Payments

Customers can choose from several options to make municipal account payments. These include online platforms, electronic fund transfers (EFTs), and retail store payments. Easypay.co.za or powertime.co.za can be used for online payments. For EFTs, customers must select the City as a bank-listed beneficiary and use the nine-digit municipal account number as a reference. Retail stores that accept payments include Shoprite/Checkers, Pick n Pay, PEP, Woolworths, USave, Ackermans, Lewis, Top It Up, and selected Spar shops. Customers can also add the City as an ATM beneficiary through their bank and pay at an ATM.

Payment Methods for Fine Payments

The City has partnered with Pay@ as their new service provider for online and retailer third-party payments since July 1, 2022. Motorists can now view and pay fines, including those issued before July 1, 2022, at https://www.paythat.co.za/.

Electronic payment methods for fines include card payments (VISA, Mastercard), EFTs through ABSA, FNB, Nedbank, Capitec, and Standard Bank, and Scan to Pay options such as Masterpass, Snapscan, Zapper, FNB, Nedbank, and ABSA. If motorists prefer to pay fines in person at a retailer, they can do so at selected Spar shops for fines issued before July 1, 2022. For fines issued from July 1, 2022, onward, payments can be made at selected Spar shops, Ackermans, Builder’s Warehouse, Game, Makro, PEP, Pick n Pay, and Shoprite/Checkers Money Market kiosks.

Plan Accordingly to Minimize Disruptions

The City values its customers and appreciates their patience and understanding during the maintenance closure period. By exploring alternative payment options and planning accordingly, residents can minimize disruptions and ensure a smooth transition during these essential maintenance days.
