Born on June 10, 1970, in Kimberley, Northern Cape, South Africa, Connie Ferguson holds South African nationality, although her roots trace back to Botswana. As a young adult, she initially had aspirations to study law at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. However, she changed paths after her second year and opted to pursue drama and performing arts instead. This decision eventually led her to land the role of Karabo Moroka in Generations.

She has also made an impact beyond the screen by co-founding Ferguson Films, a television production company, with her husband in 2010. The company has since produced numerous successful projects, including Rockville, iGazi, The Gift, The Throne, The Queen, and The Imposter.

In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Connie has also ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing her fragrance firm, True Self, in 2008. Six years later, she launched a lotion company, further expanding her business portfolio.
