The DHL Stormers are gearing up for their second consecutive United Rugby Championship (URC) Grand Final as they face off against Munster this Saturday. The match promises to be an enthralling encounter between two formidable teams, with fans eagerly anticipating the spectacle that awaits them.

To alleviate congestion, spectators are encouraged to park remotely and use the complimentary MyCiTi bus service from either the CTICC Civic Centre or Thibault Square bus stations. This practical solution allows fans to reach the DHL Stadium well ahead of time, ensuring they don’t miss a single moment of the action.

Road Closures and Access Restrictions

Several road closures and restrictions will be in place around the stadium from 6am to 10:30pm, including Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Vlei Road, Stephan Way, and Fort Wynyard Street, with limited access to Helen Suzman Boulevard, Beach Road, Buitengracht Road, and Granger Bay Boulevard. Therefore, event organizers recommend that those opting for e-hailing services be dropped off and picked up at designated points in the Central Business District (CBD).

An e-hailing drop-off area is also available on Helen Suzman Boulevard between Vlei Road and Beach Road, but spectators should be prepared for extended delays due to traffic congestion around the stadium.

Weather Conditions and Playing Surface

As winter’s grip on the Mother City tightens, the Stormers will be keeping a close eye on the weather radar in the lead-up to their URC final showdown. The Stormers’ Irish counterparts, Munster, are no strangers to the famously damp and chilly climate that characterizes the Emerald Isle. Therefore, they are likely to embrace the challenging weather with equal fervor.

Officials at DHL Stadium confidently anticipate a pristine-looking pitch at the start of the sold-out event. However, they concede that as the match progresses, the playing surface may deteriorate, adding yet another layer of intrigue to this eagerly awaited contest.

As the DHL Stormers and Munster prepare to battle it out for the coveted title, fans from both sides eagerly await the spectacle that awaits them this Saturday. With suspense and anticipation at an all-time high, one thing is for sure – this is a match that no rugby enthusiast will want to miss.
