Distiller’s & Union is a one-of-a-kind destination that provides an interactive and engaging experience for those interested in gin-making and craft beer-tasting.
The distillery’s guided gin-making workshop is a fun and interactive experience allowing visitors to create unique gin recipes. Visitors will receive a Steelworks cocktail and a plate of snacks, followed by a lesson in gin-making. First, they will learn about the different botanicals and flavors that make up a good gin. Next, they will select their preferred botanicals and flavors and measure them with a syringe. The bespoke gin recipe is then distilled in a mini copper gin still and bottled with the customized label of the visitor’s choice.
Distiller’s & Union also offers a guided beer-tasting experience at Sweet River Brewery, located on-site. Visitors get to sample four 200ml Sweet River Brewery beers, one 500ml beer of their choice, and one wood-fired pizza. In addition, the brewery aims to highlight the uniqueness of local flora, water, and joie de vivre.
Distiller’s & Union offers regular gin-making and gin and beer-tasting events on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Visitors planning a group event can schedule it on the weekend for the entire 2-hour experience, which includes a tour of the working distillery.
The distillery has a rich history of gin-making and offers visitors an opportunity to learn about the art of distilling gin. The experience is informative and fun; visitors leave with their unique gin recipe and a greater appreciation for the craft.
