Emazulwini Restaurant at Makers Landing in Cape Town has quickly become a must-visit destination for foodies and travelers alike. The restaurant offers unique and innovative cuisine, resulting in its recent inclusion on the Condé Nast Traveller’s ‘2023 Hot List’.
South African chef Mmbatho Molefe’s talent is showcased in Emazulwini’s seven-course set menu featuring authentic dishes such as chicken liver truffle, Ulimi noshatini, and Isijingi. Molefe’s talent has not gone unnoticed, as she was recently awarded the Eat Out 2022 Rising Star Award and the restaurant was included on the ‘World’s 50 Best 50 Next’ list.
Emazulwini’s interior design was a collaboration between Clout/SA and Walter Train. The design brings contemporary elements together with the Zulu-Nguni essence of the restaurant. The result is a space that reflects both its modernity and its connection to South African culture.
The restaurant is open from Thursday to Saturday from 12pm to 10.30pm, and on Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. Bookings can be made on Dineplan, and the restaurant can be found at Makers Landing | The Cruise Terminal | Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town.
Emazulwini’s inclusion on the Condé Nast Traveller’s ‘2023 Hot List’ is a significant achievement for the restaurant. With its unique and innovative cuisine, beautiful design, and connection to South African culture, Emazulwini is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Cape Town.
