Curriculum and Employment Opportunities

Since its establishment in 2000, the Chrysalis Academy has successfully graduated more than 10,000 students. This initiative provides an intensive course covering a variety of subjects, such as first aid, basic cookery, security training, peace officer, welding, office administration, and electrical circuitry.

The program begins with an induction and covers personal mastery, emotional intelligence, leadership, diversity, inclusion, drilling, and fitness. It also includes a curriculum focused on healthy living, environmental awareness, and conflict management – all aimed at equipping students with essential life skills.

Graduates of the program receive a 12-month employment opportunity through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). They are placed in various entities, such as Western Cape Government departments, municipalities, and the South African Police Service. As a part of the academy’s vision, these young individuals become safety ambassadors in their respective communities, championing the values and ideals cultivated at Chrysalis.

The 23 BRAVO Female Course

While the 23 CHARLIE course caters to young men, the 23 BRAVO female course is also available. Selections for the upcoming intake are made from the 2022 waiting list.

Chrysalis Academy’s success is a model for how empowering young individuals can lead to significant change. Eligible candidates who wish to embark on an educational journey that will undoubtedly transform their future should not miss this life-altering opportunity. By nurturing and developing the potential of our youth, we can create a brighter and more prosperous world for generations to come.
