Islands on the River was born amidst the pandemic in 2020, reflecting the inventive spirit of Wolfkop Weekender. The festival transformed into a series of ten mini-festivals, each hosting 50 attendees, to adapt to social gathering restrictions. The innovative concept resonated with festival-goers, earning Islands on the River a coveted spot among Wolfkop Weekender’s most sought-after events.

With a limited capacity of 1,500 attendees, Islands on the River fosters a sense of connection and engagement, striking the perfect balance between lively and intimate. The festival embraces music enthusiasts of all ages and unfolds across 800 meters of sprawling green lawns, riverside relaxation spots, and picturesque hiking trails.

For a more indulgent experience, select the River Front Villa, featuring four dome tents, a private kitchenette, fire boma, braai area, and jetty. Off-site cottages accommodating four to ten people are also available, and all accommodations include festival passes for a seamless experience.
