Get Ready to Celebrate Mother Nature at the Greenpop Reforest Fest 2023

Are you ready to have a party for the earth and get back in touch with nature? Then put April 7–10, 2023, on your calendar for the Greenpop Reforest Fest. It will be held at Bodhi Khaya Nature Retreat in the beautiful Overberg region during the Easter holiday. People get together at this yearly event, now in its tenth year, to plant hundreds of trees while listening to live music, eating healthy cuisine, and taking part in workshops and other activities that all help the environment.

Planting for a Better Future

Join Greenpop and help restore degraded land, attend workshops, talks, and classes – all geared towards promoting sustainable living. Since 2011, Greenpop’s biggest tree-planting event has been the Reforest Fest, with a total of 105,645 trees planted so far, improving the habitat of many incredible creatures like the Cape leopard.

Music and More at Greenpop Reforest Fest

Celebrate under the stars with live music and DJs. Greenpop’s co-founder and internationally acclaimed South-African artist, Jeremy Loops, is headlining this year, while other artists include Majozi, Josh Riley, Genevieve Lee, and many more. With all the planting, you’re sure to work up an appetite, and Greenpop has you covered with its wholesome food village. The chocolate and wine pairing is a must-try, featuring sustainably-sourced sweet stuff from local brand Honest Chocolate paired with some of the Cape’s Conservation Champion wines, including Strandveld, Skipskop Wines, Warwick Wines and Boland Cellar – which is also a long-time partner of Greenpop’s Forests For Life programme.

Family Fun at Greenpop Reforest Fest

This family-friendly event offers an Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Honest Chocolate and an interactive, plastic-free kids zone curated by Mighty Small and Nature Plays Forest School. Enjoy crafts, interactive play, art, citizen science, dress-up games, and more while nannies and facilitators care for the little ones.

Glamping in Style at Greenpop Reforest Fest

New to the festival this year is the Tented Village, featuring luxury-fitted bell tents and pre-erected Kartents to suit all budgets and preferences. Bring your own gear and camp at the Bodhi Khaya campsite, included in your ticket fee.
