Hollywoodbets Durban July Horse Racing Event

The Hollywoodbets Durban July is a prestigious horse racing event that will take place on July 1st at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The event attracts up to 55,000 spectators and showcases the best of South African horse racing talent.

Field and Favorites

A total of 20 horses, including two reserves, are scheduled to compete in the race. Trainer Justin Snaith has five runners among the final 18, and he’s expected to have a strong showing at the event.

International Touch

This year’s race will have an international touch, with legendary French jockey Christophe Soumillon set to ride Safe Passage for trainer Mike de Kock.

Supplementation of Top Weight

Top weight, Trip of Fortune, was supplemented into the competition at an additional cost of R30,195, despite being allotted a top weight of 60 kg and never having run more than 1,600 meters.

Record-setting Horses

Two horses, Do It Again and See It Again, have a chance to make history. Do It Again will run in the race for the sixth year in a row, while See It Again is the ante-post favorite.

Fillies in the Race

Four fillies will participate in the race, including recent Grade 1 Woolavington 2000 winner Rain In Holland, runner-up Time Flies, Silver Darling, and Grade 1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic winner Bless My Stars.

The Hollywoodbets Durban July horse racing event is a highly anticipated event that attracts fans from all over the world. It promises to be an exciting day of horse racing and a showcase of the best of South African talent.
