Kobus Wiese: A Springbok Champion’s Journey Beyond Rugby

Kobus Wiese enjoyed an illustrious rugby career with the Springboks, playing in 18 test matches. He played a pivotal role in the 1995 Rugby World Cup, which marked the highlight of his international career. He played his final test match against Wales in Cardiff in December 1996, before retiring from international rugby.

Pursuing Entrepreneurship

After hanging up his boots, Wiese ventured into the culinary world and founded two successful businesses. His coffee chain, Wiesenhof Coffees, and Dulce Café, boast a combined total of 90 stores nationwide.

A Passion for Rugby

Despite his new business ventures, Wiese’s love for rugby never faded. He transitioned from the playing field to the broadcast booth and became a commentator for SuperSport. He also hosts the Afrikaans show, SuperRugby, where he shares his knowledge and insights about the sport with viewers.
