Mick Schumacher Honors His Father at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed

The [Goodwood Festival of Speed](https://capetown.today/the-goodwood-festival-of-speed-a-showcase-of-automotive-innovation-and-heritage) in England saw a touching tribute by 24-year-old Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 reserve driver, Mick Schumacher, to his legendary father, Michael Schumacher. Mick donned his father’s old helmet and drove the same Mercedes W02 that Michael had driven more than a decade ago, in 2011.

Mick Schumacher, who had previously driven for Haas, performed several donuts in front of the Goodwood House, much to the crowd’s delight. Mercedes’ social media admin even joked and encouraged Mick to keep going. Besides the 2011 W02, Mick also showed off his driving skills in the 2021 W12, a car that played a significant role in Mercedes’ constructors’ championship victory.
