Minister Joe Phaahla Unveils New Health Ombud in South Africa

The New Health Ombud

The incoming Health Ombud will serve a non-renewable term of seven years, following in the footsteps of their predecessor. Prof Makgoba’s tenure was marked by significant strides in enhancing the health sector, and Minister Phaahla will reflect on these achievements during the announcement.

The announcement will take place at a media briefing scheduled for 10:00 AM on June 2, 2023, at Tshedimosetso House in Pretoria. Members of the media will be present to disseminate the news to the public.
