Debut Album Asante

In 2022, Murdah Bongz launched his debut album, Asante, which showcased his talent and dedication. The album features a noteworthy song, Mohigan Sun, which includes collaborations with Oscar Mbo and Murumba Pitch. These two artists have been by his side since the beginning, and their shared passion for music and positive energy has been essential in fostering their creative synergy.

Promise for the Future

Murdah Bongz assures his fans that Morda is here to stay, and his artistic journey will continue to surprise and delight those who have supported him along the way. Asante represents just the starting point for his solo career.

Black Motion’s Transformation

Meanwhile, Black Motion underwent its own transformation following Murdah’s departure. The group recruited Kabelo “Problem Child” Koma as his replacement. The transition was not without controversy; Murdah was accused by Black Motion and its company, Spirit Motion, of breaking into their studio and causing damages worth R500,000 in January 2023.

Moving Forward

These allegations did not hinder the success of Murdah Bongz’s solo career. By April 2022, his fans had already been anticipating his new venture as a solo DJ when he changed his name to Mörda, as announced in a statement by Black Motion.

In November 2022, ZAlebs reported that Thabo Smol indirectly confirmed Kabelo Koma as a member of Black Motion. This development signaled a new era for the group as they continued to create music and grow their brand without Murdah Bongz.

Despite the challenges of leaving a successful group and facing allegations from his former colleagues, Murdah Bongz has managed to carve out a new path for himself. His determination and resilience have been instrumental in his journey, and fans eagerly await the next milestones in his solo career. His experiences reveal the complexities of the music industry and how navigating its challenges can lead to personal growth and artistic evolution.
