North West Department of Social Development Implements Changes

The North West Department of Social Development has announced personnel changes aimed at stabilizing the organization and improving its functionality. Premier Kaobitsa Bushy Maape recently announced the lifting of suspensions for five employees and the dismissal of Acting Chief Director Corporate Services, Ms. Lorato Gasealahwe.

Decision Reached After Extensive Discussion

The Intervention Team, headed by Acting Head of Department Mr. Obakeng Mongale, and legal and labor experts conducted extensive discussions to study the disciplinary proceedings and records of the employees involved. These discussions led to the decision to lift the suspensions of the five employees and dismiss Ms. Gasealahwe.

Review Process and Termination of Ms. Gasealahwe

Lifting the suspensions of the five employees will allow the Intervention Team to review their alleged wrongdoings and ensure that the proper procedures were followed. On the other hand, Ms. Gasealahwe’s termination will be investigated further at the Public Health and Social Development Sectoral Bargaining Council for Conciliation.
