North West Province Departments Present Budget Proposals

During the recent budget vote presentations in the North West Province, three major departments outlined their proposals for the upcoming financial year.

The Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation, and Tourism emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable tourism in the province. They proposed a budget of R1.1 billion, allocating a significant portion towards tourism infrastructure development and environmental conservation programs.

Department of Agriculture and Rural Development

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development presented a budget of R1.7 billion, with a significant portion allocated towards agricultural support programs and rural development initiatives. They stressed the importance of food security and sustainable agricultural practices in the province.

Department of Community Safety and Transport Management

Lastly, the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management proposed a budget of R2.4 billion, with a focus on improving road safety, public transport infrastructure, and community safety programs.
