The region boasts vibrant agricultural, industrial, and tourism landscapes and academic and innovation infrastructure, including the University of Stellenbosch.

President Ramaphosa’s Focus on Paarl and Vlakkeland Project

During his visit, President Ramaphosa focused on the town of Paarl, particularly the Drakenstein Local Municipality. Here, residents engaged with the President and other government representatives during an open-mic session at Dal Josaphat Athletics Stadium.
