Remembering Professor Dan Kgwadi

Professor Kgwadi’s achievements are particularly remarkable, given his humble beginnings. Growing up in a poor community with limited resources, he defied the odds and developed a passion for physical science and mathematics from an early age. His academic journey eventually led him to pursue postgraduate studies in the United States of America, where he obtained various scholarships.

During his tenure, Professor Kgwadi is credited with guiding North West University through transformation challenges. His commitment to education and research helped him overcome the obstacles in his path. His dedication to bridging the gap between academia and society is evident in his work with the provincial executive.

Premier Maape has expressed his condolences to Professor Kgwadi’s family, friends, and colleagues. He has identified Professor Kgwadi’s excellent work relationship with the provincial executive and has vowed to work with the Vaal University of Technology to preserve and honor his legacy.
