Safety Measures in Place for “Sizok’thola” Host and Crew Following Death Threats

The popular TV show “Sizok’thola” has been facing numerous death threats, putting the safety of its host and production crew at risk. However, Moja Love and African Transformation Movement (ATM) leader Vuyo Zungula have taken steps to ensure that necessary protection measures are in place for the team.

Increased Security Measures

Host Xolani Khumalo and Moja Love CEO Aubrey Tau have been targeted by drug lords, necessitating heightened security measures. In June, the team even faced an attack during an episode filming at a nightclub in North West’s Rustenburg city. These incidents prompted Zungula to take action for the team’s well-being.

Assurance from Moja Love

Bokani Moyo, the head of channel, confirmed that Moja Love has implemented security measures for the “Sizok’thola” team. Moyo stated, “Moja Love can confirm there have been some threats against the team working on ‘Sizokuthola’. The channel has put in place security measures to protect the team.” He also reassured viewers that the show’s hiatus is due to a production break, not the threats.

Call for Protection

Zungula’s letter addressed to Bheki Cele (Minister of Police) and Ronald Lamola (Minister of Justice and Correctional Services) dated 12th July, requested protection for the “Sizok’thola” host and crew. Zungula emphasized the need for constant surveillance and other necessary security measures to minimize the risks faced by the team.

Moreover, Zungula urged the justice department to cooperate with law enforcement agencies across the country and investigate the cases highlighted by “Sizok’thola”. He wrote, “By doing so, you can help bridge the gap between exposure and conviction.”

Praise for the Show

Despite the dangers, “Sizok’thola” crew’s commendable efforts in combating the drug menace have not gone unnoticed. Gauteng Premier Lesufi even endorsed the show, highlighting its positive impact on society.

Committed to the Cause

In a world where the drug trade continues to devastate communities, the dedicated team behind “Sizok’thola” remains committed to their cause. With the support of Moja Love and political figures like Vuyo Zungula, they can continue their mission without fear, knowing that their safety is in capable hands.
