Secret Forest Café: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Tokai Forest

If you’re looking for a cozy coffee shop to visit while exploring Tokai Forest with your furry friends, then the Secret Forest Café is the perfect spot. Tucked away in the forest’s heart, this hidden gem is quickly becoming a favorite spot for locals and visitors.

Coffee with a View at Secret Forest Café

Located on the edge of Tokai Forest’s indigenous nature reserve, Secret Forest Café offers breathtaking views of Elephant’s Eye mountain range, making it the perfect spot for nature lovers. While enjoying the stunning surroundings, you can take a sip of good coffee or indulge in various tasty treats. The menu includes delicious cookies, cakes, juices, smoothies, tea, caffeine-free beverages, and vegan options. Four-legged friends are also welcome, and there is a special menu with treats for them.

Homemade Goodness

Secret Forest Café is made from scratch using only the best local and organic ingredients. Some of these ingredients are grown at the Ibis House Farm, where the café is situated. So you can expect to taste fresh, homemade goodness in each bite.

How to Find Secret Forest Café?

Finding the café can be a bit of a challenge, but it is worth it. The property is at the end of the wooden bridge adjacent to Lower Tokai Park, which is the fynbos part of the forest. The best way to find it is to park at Tokai Lion’s Club parking lot and take the first path on the left. Walk directly across the forest with Elephant’s Eye behind you while keeping left all the way. Eventually, you will reach a long gray wall, where you’ll find the café.

Important Things to Note

  • The café only accepts credit cards and Snapscan, so make sure you have one of these payment options available.
  • They are closed on Mondays.
  • Their opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 7 AM to 4 PM.
