Silver Town Homeowners Receive Title Deeds Through City Initiative

The City of Cape Town’s Human Settlements Title Deeds Roadshow has reached Silver Town, providing numerous homeowners with the necessary documentation to formalize their property ownership. This initiative has been successful in other areas of Khayelitsha, including Mandela Park, Kuyasa, Makhaza, and Nonkqubela. The roadshow will continue to benefit residents across the metro in the coming weeks.

Improving Housing Situation in Khayelitsha

The City’s Title Deeds Roadshow has been instrumental in helping residents of historic developments and newer RDP projects secure their property rights. Hundreds of Khayelitsha residents have received their title deeds in recent weeks, demonstrating significant progress in the City’s efforts to address housing needs.

Seizing the Opportunity for Home Ownership

Alderman James Vos urges eligible beneficiaries to take advantage of this opportunity. Possessing a title deed not only formalizes home ownership but also provides residents with security of tenure, which is an invaluable asset.

Resources for Assistance

Residents seeking additional information or assistance can visit a City Housing Office or contact the Human Settlements Call Centre at 021 444 0333. The City will provide updates on the Title Deeds Roadshow’s progress in reaching their respective areas.

Commitment to Empowering Residents

The City’s dedication to transferring over 12,000 properties in historic developments since 2013 reflects its commitment to empowering its residents through property ownership. The Title Deeds Roadshow’s success in Khayelitsha is an example of this unwavering effort, serving as a catalyst for individual growth and community development.

Achieving the Dream of Home Ownership

As the Title Deeds Roadshow continues to make its way across the metro, more citizens will enjoy the lasting benefits of possessing a title deed and achieving the dream of home ownership.
