South African Deputy Minister praised for heroic in-flight medical intervention

Dr. Sibongiseni Dhlomo, South Africa’s Deputy Minister of Health, was recently called upon to provide emergency medical assistance on a flight from Durban to Cape Town. His quick actions saved the life of a fellow passenger and prevented an emergency landing.

During the flight, a passenger alerted Dr. Dhlomo to the cabin crew seeking medical assistance. A female passenger had fallen ill, and her condition appeared critical.
