The session will feature Brazil’s Minister of Culture Margareth Menezes, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Culture Andrei Malyshev, India’s Minister of State for Culture Meenakashi Lekhi, and China’s Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism LI Qun. The purpose of the meeting is to enhance cultural partnerships and explore avenues for post-pandemic socio-economic recovery and promoting sustainable, inclusive development.

As the BRICS countries collectively represent over 3.6 billion people and approximately 24% of the global GDP, their united efforts can wield considerable influence in the international arena.

Potential for Lasting Collaborations

The Kruger Gate Hotel, situated amidst the rich natural beauty of Mpumalanga, will serve as a fitting backdrop for this historic meeting. The session has the potential to spark innovative ideas and lasting collaborations by bringing together leading cultural figures from across the globe.

Building a Brighter, More Inclusive Future

In conclusion, the 2023 BRICS Ministers of Culture session represents a vital opportunity for the member countries to strengthen their cultural ties and leverage their combined potential for post-pandemic socio-economic recovery.
