The Masakh’iSizwe Bursary Programme (MiS) is an initiative aimed at addressing the skills shortage in critical disciplines in the Western Cape region of South Africa. The MiS bursary programme collaborates with the University of Stellenbosch, the University of Cape Town, and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. The Department of Infrastructure has implemented various initiatives, including the recently delivered housing project in the Vlakkeland Project in Paarl. The project has already delivered 433 housing opportunities to beneficiaries, including backyard dwellers, elderly persons, and those living with disabilities.
