For Monyane, his ultimate objective is explicit, stating, “I am striving towards a significant goal; that is, to evolve into a more consistent player who achieves his maximum potential.” He regards his selection this season, contrasting the previous season’s lack, as an emblem of his personal progress despite the challenges he’s faced.
Recovering from a Grade 2 tear of a medial collateral ligament injury, endured during the Soweto derby against Kaizer Chiefs in November, the 23-year-old Pirate defender is enthusiastic to represent Bafana at the international arena, the World Cup.
Reflecting on the Pirates’ present fifth standing on the log table with 25 points, Monyane expressed his optimism for the team’s prospective growth. “I feel good, and we aim to contend for the league title,” he disclosed.
