The K9 Unit’s Achievements in Fighting Crime

During the current financial year, the K9 Unit has made 328 arrests, with 45% being drug-related. Additionally, the unit has recovered various amounts of drugs, five firearms, two imitation firearms, 109 rounds of ammunition, eight stolen vehicles, and over R250,000 in cash. Throughout this period, the canines have conducted 865 searches, proving their value in assisting the city’s law enforcement in fighting crime.
