Three Men Arrested in Connection with AKA’s Murder

The South African rapper AKA, whose real name is Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, was murdered on February 10th in Durban.

  • Two gunmen opened fire on him and his team outside the Wish on Florida restaurant, resulting in the death of AKA and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

The incident sent shockwaves throughout the country and sparked a massive chase for the perpetrators.

  • According to a recent report by IOL, three men were arrested in Cape Town on Sunday, March 26th, concerning AKA’s murder.
  • The suspects have been under police surveillance for the past week and will be brought to Durban, where they are expected to be charged.

The police have not released any details about the identity of the suspects or the nature of their involvement in the murder.

  • Police spokesperson Colonel André Traut has stated that AKA’s murder is a KwaZulu-Natal case, and the police in that province should be contacted for any updates.
  • However, when KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda was contacted, he said they had yet to receive any updates on the case.

The murder of AKA has caused outrage among his fans and the wider public.

  • Many have taken to social media to express their frustration with the slow progress of the investigation and the lack of updates from the police.
  • AKA’s bodyguard, Anwar “Dogg” Khan, recently spoke out about the incident in an interview with the eTV show called My Guest Tonight with Annika Larsen.
  • He stated that he would have prevented AKA from going to Wish on Florida had he been present and that protocol was breached in his absence.

The news of the arrests will come as a relief to AKA’s fans and loved ones, who have been waiting for justice to be served.

  • However, the investigation is ongoing, and it remains to be seen what evidence the police have against the suspects and what charges they will face.
