On July 26, 2023, Acting Premier Patrick Dumile Nono Maloyi launched the Thuntsha Lerole Accelerated Service Delivery Programme in the North West Province. The initiative aims to tackle service delivery challenges in the region by involving local communities in the decision-making process and fostering collaboration and constant feedback.
Thuntsha Lerole represents an innovative approach to addressing the demands for basic services across the province. It follows the earlier launch of the Accelerated Service Delivery Programme by Premier Kaobitsa Bushy Maape on December 16, 2021.
The media launch event for Thuntsha Lerole took place at the Provincial Disaster Management Center in Mahikeng. It was open to members of the media and interested parties both in-person and through live streaming on the Office of the Premier’s digital platforms. This transparency and accessibility provided insight into the initiative’s goals and strategies.
Thuntsha Lerole aims to establish constant feedback between communities and service providers to keep citizens informed about progress and improvements related to service delivery. This approach fosters trust and engagement between communities and the government, promoting a more effective response to problems and challenges as they arise.
The initiative also empowers community members by involving them in the development and implementation of solutions to service delivery issues. This approach ensures that the needs and concerns of each community are taken into consideration, promoting sustainable, long-term change throughout the province.
By uniting communities and government entities in addressing the pressing challenges facing the North West Province, Thuntsha Lerole represents a bold and innovative step toward a brighter future for all. The initiative’s focus on collaboration, transparency, and engagement demonstrates a commitment to the people of the province and a determination to improve their quality of life.
Thuntsha Lerole exemplifies a fresh approach to addressing service delivery issues in the North West Province. By promoting community involvement, open communication, and a sense of shared responsibility, the initiative aims to create lasting change for the benefit of all citizens. With these foundations in place, there is great promise for the future of the province and its people.
