Unique Accommodations in Cape Town

Cape Town’s accommodations offer an unconventional sleeping experience that is hard to forget. Here are some of the unique accommodations in Cape Town:

The Grand Daddy Hotel

Located on Long Street, this boutique hotel offers seven “airstream” trailers on its rooftop, each of which has been individually decorated by a local artist. The trailers are not your typical camping trailers since they have been fully refurbished and fitted with modern conveniences that guests expect from a five-star hotel.

“Each trailer is named after a famous American icon, such as the ‘Dorothy’ trailer, which is decorated with ruby slippers and a yellow brick road.”

The Silo Hotel

Located in the V&A Waterfront district, this luxury boutique hotel offers stunning architecture and design, as well as unmatched views of the City and Table Mountain. The hotel is located in a former grain silo that was transformed into a modern work of art by acclaimed British architect Thomas Heatherwick.

“The interior is a mix of contemporary design and industrial style. The hotel features 28 individually designed rooms and suites, each showcasing stunning views of the city, the harbor, or Table Mountain.”

The Tree House Boutique Hotel

Located in Green Point, this unique and charming accommodation is known for its whimsical and romantic design, featuring an enchanting collection of treehouse-style rooms and suites. The hotel’s treehouse rooms are elevated above the lush garden, creating a sense of privacy and seclusion that’s hard to find in a city hotel.

“Each treehouse is designed to be a romantic and cozy retreat, with plush furnishings, comfortable beds, and large windows that allow plenty of natural light to filter in. The treehouses are decorated with a blend of contemporary and rustic decor, and each one has its own unique character and charm.”

The Daddy Long Legs Art Hotel

Located in the heart of the Mother city, this quirky and creative boutique hotel features individually decorated rooms by different artists and designers. Each of the hotel’s 13 rooms is completely unique, with its own theme, decor, and artwork.

“Every room has its own character and style, and guests are sure to find one that speaks to their taste. The Daddy Long Legs Art Hotel also has a communal lounge and bar area, which is decorated with a mix of vintage and contemporary furniture, as well as a range of artworks and installations.”

Cape Town’s accommodations offer a wide range of options for those looking for unique experiences. From airstream trailers and treehouse rooms to stunning silo architecture and individually decorated art rooms, Cape Town has it all.
