December 2023, abuzz with holiday festivities, marked a significant increase in police presence and resource allocation, alongside targeted operations. This was no stroke of luck or chance, but a result of meticulous strategizing and unwavering dedication that successfully thwarted major crimes, ensured province-wide stability, and led to the successful apprehension of numerous sought-after lawbreakers.

A Showcase of Diligence and Vigilance

In a noteworthy demonstration of alertness, the police force managed to apprehend an imposing total of 10,622 suspects involved in an array of crimes. Special attention was given to contact crimes, culminating in the arrest of 3,355 offenders. Prioritizing the Safety of Women and Children

As a clear indication of their commitment, the protection of women and children was prioritized by the police. A relentless approach was employed against sexual offenders, resulting in the arrest of 243 suspects involved in rape and sexual assault cases. Moreover, strict measures were adopted to combat assault incidents spurred by irresponsible alcohol consumption. In December alone, police apprehended 1,669 suspects for assault with an intent to cause serious harm, and an additional 625 were arrested for common assault.

The cooperation of the community, coupled with a strong crackdown on illegal liquor trade, led to the arrest of 739 individuals. Property-related crimes were also handled firmly, with 366 suspects detained for offences such as burglaries, vehicle theft, and livestock theft.

Extensive Roadway Operations and Community Partnerships

The police’s persistent efforts also encompassed the province’s roads. Multiple checkpoints, roadblocks, and stop-and-search operations led to the arrest of 835 individuals for drunk driving.
