The new tip-off indicated the existence of illegal firearms at a property on Lantana Street, Paarl East. With the backing of Cape Winelands Crime Intelligence, Breederiver K9 Unit, and Boland POPS, they initiated their operation. Their tenacity bore fruit once again, leading to the seizure of a revolver, eight ammunition rounds, and a small drug stash. A 34-year-old male discovered at the scene was apprehended.
The suspects detained from the day and night operations are set to face the Mitchells Plain and Paarl Magistrates’ courts respectively, pending the formal filing of charges against them.
