Comic Con Cape Town has officially sold out all four days of the festival, causing excitement throughout the city. The festival will run from April 27th to April 30th, 2023 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. This event offers attendees a range of activities, from gaming and comics to shopping and cosplay, and even the chance to see international celebrities.

Capetonians Anticipate the Arrival of Comic-Con

Since the first Comic Con Africa in Johannesburg in 2018, Capetonians have eagerly awaited the arrival of the event in the Mother City. The response to this event is a clear indication that attendees are always seeking immersive experiences at events. It is also exciting to see the e-sports industry gaining more exposure, with local gamers having a platform to showcase their skills on a national level.

The Gamer Island

The Comic Con Cape Town Regional Champions of Cosplay competition is also a must-see event, where professionals compete for a chance to go to the nationals in Johannesburg. At Cosplay Central, cosplayers can meet-up, take photos, and meet the International Cosplay Guests.

After Dark Events

Besides the festival’s activities, Comic Con Cape Town offers visitors the chance to explore the city’s attractions through “After Dark” events. Fans can take a Cosplay Pirate Sunset Cruise with the proceeds going to CANSA, a session where fans can get a comic book artist to doodle on their coffee coaster in support of help2read, a Star Wars quiz at Beerhouse, and even an exclusive screening of The Incredibles at Galileo Theatre.
