Signal Restaurant at Cape Grace: Dinner Overlooking A Yacht Basin

Signal Restaurant at Cape Grace Hotel is a luxurious dining spot on a private quay overlooking the beautiful mountains. The restaurant is ideal for special occasions such as a romantic dinner or a special brunch. The warm, wood-paneled interiors and opulent crystal chandeliers create a regal ambiance, and the attentive staff ensures a relaxed, family-friendly environment.

A Glorious Setting for a Memorable Dining Experience at Signal Restaurant

We visited the restaurant for dinner on a sunny Friday evening and arrived just as the sun set. The glorious golden light filtering through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors created a stunning ambiance. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list, and we chose the Thelema Merlot 2016, which arrived promptly, along with a freshly baked bread selection.

Responsibly and Sustainably Sourced Ingredients

The Signal dinner menu pays homage to the Cape’s variety of cuisines and cultures, using responsibly and sustainably sourced ingredients. I had the minted tomato and beetroot salad with goat’s cheese mousse, grapefruit, and strawberry sorbet. My partner chose the confit pork belly with apple, mango, coconut, and sesame seeds – a delightful dichotomy of crispy and smooth, sweet and savory.

Mains or Plain and Simple with Delicious Sides at Signal Restaurant

The main course offers two options: Mains or Plain and Simple. Each comes with your choice of side, from potato fries to truffled creamed potatoes. My grilled duck breast with cauliflower, caramelized onion purée, roasted hazelnuts, and plum jus was juicy, rich, and perfectly tender, while my partner’s slow-cooked lamb shoulder with crispy croquette, grilled cutlet, potato pave, and braised tomato jus was equally satisfying.
