The ministers expressed support for a rules-based multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core, emphasizing the significance of special and differential treatment for developing countries. Concerning climate change, the ministers reiterated the importance of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Paris Agreement.

Global Security Challenges and AI Development

The ministers discussed various global security challenges, such as terrorism, extremism, and radicalization, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach to counter these threats. They also underscored the importance of responsible and ethical development of Artificial Intelligence for socio-economic development and inclusive growth, calling for enhanced communication and cooperation on AI technology.
