Two major projects will be handed over on 14 June 2023 to address the hospital’s water supply challenges and provide housing for healthcare professionals.

Water Supply Project

Joe Morolong Hospital in Vryburg has been struggling to maintain a consistent water flow, disrupting daily operations. Although temporary measures have been taken, a permanent solution is necessary. MEC Sambatha launched the bulk water supply project to improve the hospital’s water supply infrastructure and create a more conducive environment for patients and staff.

Accommodation Project

The hospital has partnered with North West University to provide healthcare professionals with proper lodging. This initiative addresses the need for convenient housing and improves staff retention, ultimately contributing to better healthcare services.

Handover Ceremony

The official ceremony for the project sites’ handover is scheduled for 14 June 2023 at 10:00 AM at Joe Morolong Memorial Hospital. The media is invited to witness this pivotal moment.

Collaboration and Commitment

The Department of Health Spokesperson, Tebogo Lekgethwane, and MEC Support, Khuthala Tshangela, collaborated with MEC Madoda Sambatha in launching these initiatives, demonstrating their commitment to improving the healthcare system at Joe Morolong Hospital.

Enhanced Healthcare Experience

These projects signify a broader vision for improving healthcare services in the region. With a reliable water supply and better accommodations for healthcare professionals, Joe Morolong Hospital is poised to offer improved efficiency and enhanced services to its patients. This progress will contribute to a more robust healthcare infrastructure and a healthier future for the community.
