Kruger National Park

South Africa’s very own Kruger National Park has been named one of the World’s Top 20 Best Nature Destinations in 2023 by Tripadvisor. The category covers travelers’ favorite places to enjoy the outdoors.

The Kruger National Park is one of the World’s most renowned game reserves, home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the iconic “Big 5” – lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, and buffalo.

Tripadvisor on Kruger National Park

Tripadvisor states that South Africa’s largest game reserve, the Kruger, is “essentially a synonym for the phrase “safari,” and it ranks it as the 20th best destination to visit in the World. The central national park is a great place to see more than 500 kinds of birds, 100 reptiles, roughly 150 types of animals, many archaeological sites, and a wide range of plants and flowers.

Tripadvisor states, “Adventurous people can tour the park in a 4×4, go on a bush walk, or fly over it in a hot-air balloon.” The Traveler’s Choice Best of the Best winners is “chosen based on both the quantity and quality of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor over 12 months, along with an additional reviewing process.”

Kruger National Park is a sanctuary for wildlife and a source of joy for those who love nature. The park offers a unique opportunity to connect with the natural World in a humbling and awe-inspiring way.

Top 20 Best Nature Destinations

Best of the Best is Tripadvisor’s highest distinction; those who get it are in the top 1% of all listings. Serengeti National Park in Tanzania came in third place, primarily because of its vast size and the famed yearly wildebeest migration, the World’s largest and longest overland migration.
