Close Monitoring and Accountability of Contractors

Acting Premier Maloyi visited Nelson Mandela Drive and expressed concern over the slow pace of the road construction project, which was initially supposed to be completed by September this year. Maloyi plans to visit the site on a fortnightly basis and closely monitor other projects to ensure that service providers fulfill their contractual obligations.

MEC for Public Works and Roads, Gaoage Oageng Molapisi, reaffirmed the department’s readiness to prevent any delays in road projects and promised to revisit the project in the next two weeks to see that it is completed on time.
