Extending the Roadshow

Over the past few weeks, the Human Settlements Directorate has traveled to various areas in Khayelitsha, including Mandela Park, Kuyasa, and Makhaza. Plans to extend the roadshow to other regions in the metro are underway, aiming to reach as many beneficiaries as possible.

Encouraging Beneficiaries to Claim Their Title Deeds

Acting Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements, Alderman James Vos, emphasized the importance of beneficiaries coming forward to claim their title deeds. The City is directing its communication efforts towards areas beyond the metro to locate eligible beneficiaries.

Gratitude to Human Settlements Officials

Alderman Vos expressed gratitude to the Human Settlements officials for their assistance in helping residents. He expressed hope that their efforts will benefit many more residents in other parts of the metro in the coming weeks.

Progress and Information

Since 2013, the City of Cape Town has transferred over 12,000 properties in historic developments, leading to the issuance of title deeds to beneficiaries across the metro. For beneficiaries seeking more information about the Title Deeds Roadshow and the process of obtaining their title deeds, they can visit a City Housing Office or contact the Human Settlements Call Centre.

Empowering Citizens

With the Title Deeds Roadshow’s continued success, the City of Cape Town is taking significant strides in empowering its citizens by formalizing their home ownership and providing them with the invaluable security of tenure. As the roadshow ventures into other areas of the metro, countless more residents will soon enjoy the benefits of having their rightful title deeds in hand.
