You can learn to make the best-pickled fish with fisherwomen from Saldanha or make a seafood meal with Reuben Riffel. In addition, the fest features merchants serving various seafood, including vis & tjips, sushi, paella, and more.

Beyond the Blue

The incredible recipe installation showcases the stories of 17 ‘Beyond the Blue’ fisherwomen by Studio H and Plaas UWC. Beyond the Blue is a project that focuses on raising awareness about the role of women in small-scale fisheries and the challenges they face.

If you have ever needed clarification on whether fish is red, orange, or green listed, let’s talk about the fishing rights complexities at the seafood talks with a panel of experts from the food and fishery ecosystem.
