The Orlando Pirates’ hunt for TS Galaxy midfielder Bathusi Aubaas has hit a snag, leaving fans and followers of South African football waiting with bated breath for further developments. The talented Bafana Bafana star has been on the Pirates’ radar for some time, but the expected deal now appears to have been called off.

Pirates’ Pursuit of Aubaas

As the current MTN8 champions, the Orlando Pirates have been keen to bolster their midfield, with Aubaas identified as a key target. However, recent developments suggest the deal is no longer on the cards. Social media posts by a reputable football publication indicate that Aubaas will not be joining coach Jose Riveiro’s team at the Pirates.

Negotiations Stalled

According to a tweet by Rush Sports On, negotiations between TS Galaxy and the Pirates reached a deadlock, with the former allegedly overpricing the Bafana Bafana star. As a result, Aubaas is currently participating in pre-season training with TS Galaxy at Sturrock Park in Johannesburg.

Aubaas’ Response

Aubaas himself has denied receiving any approach from the Orlando Pirates. Speaking to The South African, the midfielder confirmed that he remains under contract with TS Galaxy and has not been made aware of any potential move to another team. He was a part of Bafana Bafana’s squad in their match against Morocco last month and remains focused on his current commitments with TS Galaxy.

Conflicting Reports

Interestingly, the South African Football Association (SAFA) mistakenly listed Aubaas as a Pirates player prior to his Bafana debut against the Atlas Lions at FNB Stadium. However, this error was quickly corrected, and Aubaas has since clarified his position on the matter.

Aubaas Entrusts Future to Agent and Chairman

As rumors continue to circulate, Aubaas has chosen to entrust his future to his agent and TS Galaxy’s chairman, Tim Sukazi. In a statement to Radio2000, Aubaas expressed his desire to focus on his current commitments with the team and emphasized that he signed a new deal with TS Galaxy last year.

The Orlando Pirates’ pursuit of Bathusi Aubaas has come to an abrupt halt, leaving fans and pundits wondering about the future of this promising midfielder. As Aubaas focuses on his pre-season training with TS Galaxy, South African football enthusiasts will be eagerly watching for any further developments in this intriguing transfer saga.

But recent U.S. tariffs threaten these gains, making it harder for farmers to compete and putting many livelihoods at risk. Still, South African farmers remain strong and hopeful, working hard to face these new challenges and keep their communities alive.
