Dixson Ngamlane, the North West province Community Police Forum Chairperson (CPF), was a devoted and steadfast fighter against crime. Recently, the South African Police Service (SAPS) management honored him and his wife, who tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Fochville, Gauteng.

Ngamlane served on the Community Police Forum (CPF) board for over two decades, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to fighting crime. He held various positions, including Mahikeng Cluster CPF Chairperson and Provincial CPF board Chairperson. Ngamlane’s passion for community policing led him to champion securing resources to support the work of the police.
A Heartfelt Funeral Service
The Ngamlane couple was laid to rest in their hometown of Mahikeng in the North West province. General Masemola, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, and various CPF Chairpersons and community patrollers attended the funeral service.

General Masemola described Ngamlane as a dedicated and humble volunteer. He emphasized Ngamlane’s significant role as a stakeholder in the South African Police Service (SAPS), stating that “the SAPS, the community of North West, and indeed the country at large, has lost one of its dedicated servants.”

Frans Kgasago, the CPF chairperson of Limpopo, remembered Ngamlane as a firm and selfless individual. Kgasago highlighted the importance of community involvement in crime-fighting efforts and the need for communities to assist the police to fight crime actively.
