To cater to those without direct internet access, the Department of Employment and Labour has introduced a free USSD service. Dialing 134843# on any mobile phone enables clients to check their UIF status. This innovative service requires only an active mobile number, making it accessible to a broader range of users.

The Department of Employment and Labour has launched UIF mobile buses to assist clients in deep rural areas who cannot visit labour centres in their nearest towns.
