Mr. Allen believes that empowering and developing these young individuals can help dismantle the cycle of disenfranchised youth who may otherwise be tempted to pursue a life of drug abuse and crime. He commended Dr. Meyer and her team at Chrysalis for their unwavering dedication to helping young people discover and reach their potential.

Work Placement Initiative

The graduates’ journey does not end with the completion of the program. They will now enter a 12-month work placement initiative in collaboration with various safety partners through the Department of Police Oversight and Community Safety. This opportunity will allow them to apply the knowledge and skills they acquired during their time at the Chrysalis Academy, further enhancing their personal and professional growth.

But recent U.S. tariffs threaten these gains, making it harder for farmers to compete and putting many livelihoods at risk.
