Amor Vittone’s life has been full of love, loss, and resilience. The South African singer and actress have captured the hearts of many over the years with her stunning voice and captivating performances. She burst onto the scene as a WAG (wife and girlfriend) of Joost van der Westhuizen, a former South African rugby player widely regarded as one of the greatest scrum halves ever. The couple’s love story was the stuff of fairy tales, with Joost proposing to Amor on a hot air balloon ride over the Magaliesberg Mountains. They went on to have two children together, but their marriage was challenging.

In 2009, Joost was diagnosed with motor neuron disease, a degenerative disorder that eventually led to his death in 2017. Amor was by his side throughout his illness, and her unwavering support and dedication earned her the admiration and respect of many.
